About George
Mashour
I am currently training in anesthesiology at the Harvard Medical School, and am considering novel neuroscientific frameworks of consciousness and general anesthesia. My concept of "cognitive unbinding" is one approach to the unknown question of general anesthetic mechanism. Of further interest to me is the possibility that this model of unconscious processing has relevance for psychoanalysis. I am curious in exploring the state of general anesthesia as a model for unconscious processing, much in the same way that Freud used sleep. I am currently pursuing this relationship as a fellow of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Please feel free to contact me at george_mashour@yahoo.com with any comments or questions |
